Dave entered his room, finding himself being met with the wide smile and cackles of Terezi. "TH3R3 YOU 4R3 COOLK1D!" she said, a mischievous grin on her face. "1'V3 B33N W41T1NG H3R3 FOR 4 WH1L3 NOW. D1D YOU H4PP3N TO M1SPL4C3 SOM3TH1NG P3RH4PS?" She was interrogating him. Normally, Dave would've found the act interesting. However, it was obvious she wasn't even trying to be subtle about what she had done; not to mention that he had something better to do than play this little game. He had a picture to show.
"Striders don't misplace anything." he said, deciding to play along for the moment. "Besides I was out getting some scandalous evidence

You see his eyes widen as surprise spreads throughout his features. His hands awkwardly fumble around in his lap, and that's the moment you know. You knew this was a bad idea to begin with. Why would he ever feel for you the way you felt for him?
Stupid, stupid self. You should have known. You saw the way he looked at Tavros, his eyes brimming with affection. Tavros was his world. Just thinking about it made you ache with want. If only, if only. There wasn't a thing you wou
It takes sweeps before either of them notice it. Part of that was because they were so used to the fact that they were the same age, and they took it for granted. After all, they'd met when they were only four sweeps old and back then Karkat had actually been of height with Gamzee. For the next four sweeps they were close friends, Karkat even being allowed to take the not so long walk to visit his moirail—they'd figure that part out rather quickly—without his lusus accompanying him. By then Gamzee had some height on Karkat, but only really because of his horns. Okay, so that wasn't fully fair, if he ever did something other than slouching Gam
The world was changing tomorrow. After a sweep and a half the world is changing again, just like that, and Gamzee isn't ready for it. He hadn't been ready for the first miraculous change of playing Sgrub, no matter what he'd thought. Nor had he been able to handle the other (less than miraculous change) that he'd gone through in the Veil. Now they were going out into a world they didn't even know except through a screen. And Gamzee... He'd have to come out of hiding.
A sweep and a half (three human years) he'd been hiding, seeing only Karkat and the memories of friends in dream bubbles. The former had been less common as time went by, the la
"Karkat?" You look over at the troll by the doorframe. He's leaning against the door, his skin paler than normal. "Karkat you don't look so good."
"Shut up, I'm fine." He took a few steps forward before he started to fall.
You rush up and support him, "You're not fine, Karkat, you can hardly stand!" You place a hand to his forehead, "Oh gosh, Karkat you're burning up! I think you're sick."
"Nonsense, I've never been sick." You help him back into his pajamas and under the covers. "This is stupid, I've never been sick on Alternia."
You nod sympathetically and leave to grab the thermometer. You've heard from Rose that trolls are pretty simil
"Nepeta, are you okay?" I ask.
"H-huh? Yeah," she replies. I can hear her sniffing quietly. I know she's trying to hide it, but I'm her moirail--I notice everything.
"Nepeta, I'm starting to get worried about you."
"Equius, you have nothing to worry about." I know she's lying.
"So how come you won't smile?"
"We're on the phone silly. You can't s33 me smile." She doesn't smile either way though.
I sigh. "I haven't seen you in a while," I comment.
"Mm-hm " she says distractedly.
"I'll be coming over in an hour, okay?"
"Mm-hm wait what??"
"See you in an hour Nepeta." I hang up and look around my room. It's messy, because of t
